Privacy policy
Time Warp Radio ("we", "the station") operates timewarpradio.com. This page explains what we collect when you use the site, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you fill in the request line or the advertising form, we receive the information you typed — your name, and whatever contact details, song request or message you chose to include.
- Basic technical information. Like every website, our web server records standard request logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
- Settings kept on your own device. Your player volume and whether the stream was playing are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and we can't read them.
- Analytics, if enabled. The site can be configured to use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. When enabled, Google receives the usual analytics data and processes it under its own privacy policy.
What we do with it
Requests and dedications go to the studio so we can play them and read them on the air. Advertising enquiries go to the sales desk so someone can get back to you. We keep messages long enough to answer them and to keep our own records. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't add you to mailing lists you didn't ask for.
Other people's services
The live stream is delivered by our streaming provider, and album artwork shown alongside the "now playing" information comes from Apple's public music catalogue. Those services see the technical requests needed to deliver audio and images. Links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Apple Music and similar sites take you to services with their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — write to the station using the contact details on the site and we'll take care of it. You can also block cookies and local storage in your browser; the player will still work, it just won't remember your volume.
Terms of use
By using timewarpradio.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The stream and the site
The audio stream and everything on this site are provided for your personal, non-commercial listening. You may not rebroadcast, retransmit, record for redistribution, or embed the stream in another service without the station's written permission.
Content and trademarks
The Time Warp Radio name, logo and site content are owned by the station or used with permission. Music, artwork and artist names remain the property of their respective owners and appear here for identification purposes only.
What you send us
Anything you submit — requests, dedications, shout-outs, contest entries — may be read or referenced on the air, and you confirm it's yours to send and isn't unlawful, abusive or someone else's private information. Please don't send anything you wouldn't want broadcast.
Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the stream and the site up, but we can't promise they'll never be interrupted. Schedules, features and contests can change without notice. The site is provided "as is", and to the extent the law allows, the station isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it.
Links out
We sometimes link to other sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them.
General contest rules
These general rules apply to every contest and giveaway run by Time Warp Radio, unless the specific rules published for a particular contest say otherwise.
- Eligibility. Contests are open to legal residents of the station's listening area who are 18 or older at the time of entry, except where a specific contest states a different age or area.
- Not eligible. Employees of the station, its owners, its sponsors and advertising agencies, and members of their immediate households, may not enter.
- No purchase necessary. No purchase or payment is required to enter or win, and a purchase does not improve your chance of winning.
- How to enter. Each contest announces its own entry method on the air and on this site. Entries submitted by automated means, or by anyone using multiple identities, are disqualified.
- Frequency. Unless a specific contest says otherwise, one person per household may win a prize from the station once in any thirty-day period.
- Claiming a prize. Winners must claim prizes within thirty days of being notified, and may be asked to show valid photo identification and to sign a release. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited.
- Prizes. Prizes are awarded as-is, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and no substitutions are made except by the station. Winners are responsible for all taxes; a tax form may be required for prizes valued at $600 or more.
- Publicity. By accepting a prize, winners agree that their name, voice and likeness may be used by the station for promotional purposes without further payment.
- Changes. The station may amend, suspend or cancel a contest if it can't be run as planned, and its decisions on all matters relating to a contest are final.
Complete rules for any specific contest are available on request from the station.
